Getting started
Lumio is designed around small, explicit workflows. Install the desktop app, choose a device name, and decide whether you want one-off transfers or a persistent folder pair.

Devices on the same trusted network can be discovered automatically. For a manual setup, add the device address and confirm the pairing code shown on both screens.
File transfer
Open Transfers, add files or a folder, select a paired device and confirm. Completed jobs remain visible in Recent Activity.
Folder sync
Create a folder pair and choose a direction: one-way or two-way. Manual approval is recommended when first testing a new pair.
Network notes
Local discovery requires devices to share a reachable local network. Guest Wi‑Fi and network isolation can prevent discovery even when internet access works normally.
Troubleshooting
Device not visible
Confirm both devices are online, local discovery is enabled, and the network does not isolate clients.
Transfer pauses
Keep the destination awake, confirm free disk space, and retry the transfer from Recent Activity.
Security
Only pair devices you control. Remove devices you no longer use and review folder pairs before enabling automatic changes.
